I found this old wooden tool box several years ago in an old barn in upstate New York. I brought it back home to New Mexico with me and you may remember seeing me use it many times in my vignettes. |
I created a spring floral design in it and sat it on the buffet by the door on the front porch..... |
I wanted to keep my spring decor simple, but the floral design looked kinda lost by its self so I propped a windmill up behind it. |
In the past I have put a big wreath on the door, but this spring I wanted something simpler and I hung a wood initial on the door instead. |
I filled the planter on the porch with pink tulips...... |
The Bradford Pear tree's are the star of the front yard right now..... |
I hope you enjoyed a tour of the porch and front yard.....please come back for another visit soon! |
Absolutely wonderful!Magnificent trees!
ReplyDeleteYour porch looks so pretty for spring! I love the old wooden toolbox. What a great find!
ReplyDeleteThe pear trees are glorious, Penny! And I love the pink tulips. Nothing's in bloom in Michigan, but the sun is shining more so Spring is not too far away. I can't wait!

ReplyDeleteAll of it is beautiful! And since I live in Montana and we woke up to a snowstorm this morning, it was so nice to see your tree in bloom--a reminder that Spring is on its way!
ReplyDeleteYour spring porch is gorgeous, Penny! And I'm head over heels in love with the toolbox planter! Just love how flowers always dress up rustic wood!
ReplyDeleteI'm featuring this in this weekend's DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 519. Thanks for linking up!
Your porch is really pretty and inviting. I love the little wooden box, but those Bradford Pear trees are too beautiful fo words. I don't think I've ever seen so many in one place. My dad loved those trees and had quite a few on his property as well. I love it when they begin to shed and the whole area looks like a spring snow. This brought back some wonderful memories for me. TFS with #omhgww. I have socialized this post.
