The roses up in the left corner are what I call semi dried, not totally dried, but not fresh! |
Before I retired, this wreath was my best seller. Lots of ruffles, lace, just beautiful. I made these in different colors and also in a heart shape. |
Here is one of my heart shaped wreaths. I used roses (made by me) vintage pins, pearls, button cards...everything romantic. |
This is a spring wreath that I made to hang on the door of the potting shed. |
This wreath greets you at the front door. It is hanging on an old bed spring. |
All of my fall wreaths start on a grapevine form. |
I added pumpkins and grapes to this one! |
There are three picture windows across the front of our home. I put a wreath on each window! |
One of my heart shaped wreath on the fireplace. |
I love to make Christmas wreaths. ( I also like to decorate bottle brush tree's, you can barely see them on the side of the wreath) |
I found some satin balls at a yard sale that were not in very good shape, but really cheap! I covered them with yarn and I think they added some wonderful texture to this wreath. |
I love to make these to give at Christmas. I always give them the day after Thanksgiving so they can use them the whole season! I buy ornaments all year long at yard sales because it takes over a 100 to make a full wreath. You can really get ornys cheap during the summer because no one wants to store them!!! These make a wonderful gift to donate to a nursing home, give one to a shut in that can't put up a tree, or maybe just a friend that isn't very "crafty". Penny,
ReplyDeleteYour wreaths are stunning!! Wreaths were never the main stay of the craft that I sell but since I started decorating my department at work, I can't make them fast enough once I change everything for a different Holiday. I do wish i had more time to craft more but that will have to wait until I retire or can not work anymore....
May I ask what you did before retirement?
Hugs,
Deb
Very pretty wreaths. I used to make them all the time, but not so lately. Our porch could really use one for the different seasons.
