My Romantic Christmas Tree

I am so excited to show you this tree!  It's romantic... shabby... lacy... ruffley... and Christmasy.   I made this tree from my  collection of  vintage wedding gowns, all 10 of them.  (Don't worry, no gowns were harmed in the making of this tree, lol)  I started with a 7 foot,  2x4, ' tepee frame that H made for me.   Then, I began to layer the gowns on it!

I added a few vintage Christmas ornaments....

and lots of stands of pearls, some of them are vintage necklaces that belonged to my mother..

Look at all the ruffles and sequins

Lace, tulle, organza....

Pearl ornaments.....shiny ornaments...

And this is the wreath that I chose to hang by the tree.    I made this one a long time ago and you have seen it hung in almost every room in the house!

I put this tree in our bedroom and I will be doing a separate post on how I have our bedroom decorated for Christmas!
