There was a big antique auction here Saturday and we spent the entire day there! We visited with friends, ate lunch, and did a lot of buying. I got some great stuff... |
I can't believe that I actually have the dress this baby was wearing! |
This is the other side of the post card with a note to Mrs HBN! |
These are calf length leather socks.. there was also a black pair in the box and several hankys... |
This is a sweet pillow cover... |
I am going to make a lampshade with this petty coat... |
There were several other baby dresses. |
My box of treasures was $7!!! |
They had tons of vintage hats...I bought a few spring ones... |
Soft colors... |
gorgeous flowers... |
Three hats for $9. |
I have a small doll collection and I have always wanted a bride doll...they had her standing on this baby high chair so it was included in the price... |
She has a beautiful long train... |
She is a JC Penny Nichole doll and I got her for $20. |
I bought a lot more treasures and will do another post soon! |
Sounds like fun! I go to a local auction almost every Saturday night. I get great deals there! Have a wonderful week.

These are precious treasures. It's always hard to believe that someone gave them up.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteYour bride doll is stunning but the box of vintage clothing takes the prize!! The price you paid for all of that has to be the Steal of the Century. Someone surely had no idea what they were selling.....
The child's dress with the picture of the child wearing it I believe is called Providence. Meaning that you have proof of antiquity by the picture of the child actually wearing the item...So Cool!!
Can't wait to see what other treasures you snagged....
Thanks so much for your encouraging words about "My Challenge". I started my healthy eating program ( I will not say diet) and we bought an exercise bike that I have started to use... I had to put it in our bedroom so I can watch TV and be in front of the air conditioner in the Summer!!!
Hugs,
Deb
