We have been doing some updating to the front yard.... painted the brick, trim, and all the furniture. So, the little cottage trailer looked kinda shabby (and not in a good way, lol) ! |
The door got painted pink and I added some embellishments (some parts from an old rocking chair that had fell apart) I also found that cute RT 66 sign at HL...50% off, of course, |
I painted the flower pots with chalkboard paint and added some geraniums that match the ones in front of our house. |
I left the existing "dog house" but added a mail box... |
My little duck family is decoys that my dad collected... |
I had to put up a "DON'T FEED THE DUCKS" sign....lol! |
I think the new look complements the theme of our home now! |

ReplyDeletePenny: I had no idea. I think I've told you before but I really love the new look at your home. Now the trailer...That is the greatest idea I've ever seen. We love to have those play toys but when not in use they just sit there taking up valuable space (if you are lucky enough to have valuable space, ours has to be stored) Anyway how clever and I really love that it looks like a little cottage..Happy Thursday..Judy

Your home is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSmiles, cyndi
I absolutely love this... especially the duck pond! I would love to do this on my deck... and could double as a nice place to dip my legs on a hot day... but alas, if I did the dogs would just make it into their own wading pool and make a grand mess. And probably take off with the ducks, too! :)
ReplyDelete~ Denise @ http://www.myhousemyrules.com
