Shabby Chic Chickens

H and I have been sitting on the porch this afternoon...enjoying the warm weather.   We had to move everything off the porch to paint the brick and slowly we are putting things back!     I worked on this area the other day and have a place for us to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of cold sweet tea in the afternoon.

I decorated in a chicken meets shabby chic!  I have the chicken nests filled with feathers and bird nests.   I thought the chicken wire cloche would fit right in!

I had two very ugly multi colored chickens that look much better painted white....

I bought these lounge chairs a few weeks ago at a yard sale ... $15 for two!  I don't know how I would be able to decorate without yard sales and auctions.

This stuffed rooster belonged to my dad...he kind of creeps me out, so he stays in the studio!   He begged to be in the picture so I brought him out today!
I also have a chicken feeder in front of the dresser.  This dresser was bought by my dad 50 years ago at an auction for $'s one of my treasures.
I still have some more area's to show you on the porch redo...see you later!
