I have some vintage aprons on the clothes line today.....and I have started to decorate a little bit for the 4th of July. |
The roses that I bought at the grocery store are fading...they are ready to be hung to dry. |
I found this fish net basket at a little shop the other day and thought it could be repurposed as a apron display.... |
and clothes pin holder! |
I think this embroidered apron is so pretty...one of my auction finds. |
You can see the studio thru this sheer apron... |
I had flags hung on the line for Memorial Day, so I wanted to do something different for the 4th of July. |
I love to sit and watch aprons lightly blowing in the wind...very relaxing |
I have a wicker dress form all decked out for the 4th.... |
and I added a few more ..... |
little touches here and there! |
Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteI just love your pretty aprons. My mother (now 92) used to have a collection that her aunt had made her many years and I am constantly treasure hunting for ones like yours. They are so dainty and feminine. Pink aprons are my favourite! I hope that you have a wonderful week! Thank you for sharing!
Take care,
Karen
I remember my Grandmother and aunt wore aprons all the time. My aunt always had circus peanuts in the pockets of hers when she'd come to visit. Grandma had full ones too, that criss crossed in the back. What I'd give to have them. I never saw either without one on. I love your collection, brought back so many memories.
ReplyDeleteYour vintage aprons are very lovely. Your settings are always amazing!

Well I just can't say enough about this post . . . I ADORE vintage clothing AND aprons. I have 3-4 and have never really figured out what to do with them. I've been talking about wanting my clothesline put back up (after we had new siding put on) so this really inspires me. What a creative idea to use a clothesline to decorate!!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny,

Penny,
DeleteWhen I saw your link about aprons I had to click on it. I have seen your blog a few times... but have not started "officially" following any until just very recently. I started blogging just over a year ago...just writing about my childhood memories that are so precious to me. I wrote a post for Mother's Day about aprons and how my mom was hardly ever without one. I love the sweet memories they stir up! By the way, I love your vintage collection! My mom was nearly 98 when she died in 2010 and I wish so much that I had one of those old aprons she used to wear. I'd love you to come visit me on my blog!
