Have you ever experienced the domino effect? Well, that's what happened to me this morning! It all started with a simple thing like hanging a new picture.... |
This little $5 yard sale picture LOOKS innocent...but.... |
I thought the typewriter was too far below the picture, so I propped it up with some books. Then, the dog wanted to be propped up so I found a little bitty book for him. |
I think this huge book will look good on the ottoman.... |
with a sweet book lamp .....Hey, I have a theme.....I'm decorating with books! |
Better freshen up the top of the desk.
|
H is so sweet....he carried all of these books from his book shelves so I could do a little vignette on the floor! |
This little diary belonged to my mother when she was about 16....it is filled with stories of her day to day life as a teenager. PRICELESS! |
I love that vintage fan off in the corner of your sunporch - great idea!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree seems that happens to me also. I would love to have a screened in porch only have a open air deck which is on the West side of the house and on the golf course fairway! So I really am big time jealous. Enjoy your blog! <:)

I do the same thing! :) I start with moving one little thing, and then IT STARTS. But moving things around makes our days interesting.
ReplyDeleteOh, I could just look at your blog and all your beautiful things all day long. You have given me so many ideas.
Penny!!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the books!! Love the book lamp!! I have been playing in the Den and will be putting up a post today. I think I have to add some books now to my new vignettes in the Den....
I extended the patio on the weekend and pulled a muscle in my back causing my sciatica to kick in so I have been off from working and relaxing...
You have shared so many great ideas here...I am so inspired!! I will be on the look out now for some older books.... Our church flea market is next weekend!!
The heat and the humidity are gone finally and I can go outside and breathe now!!

Deb

ReplyDeleteOh my gracious, what a wonderful visit for Pink Saturday. It's all so delightful but my absolute favorite is the typewriter! My granddaughter bought a used one for a friend who loves old typewriters. I think she wants to type on it for awhile. But I'm going to tell her about your awesome idea for future reference so she can keep it and make it pretty as well. Thank you.
