| Have you ever experienced the domino effect? Well, that's what happened to me this morning! It all started with a simple thing like hanging a new picture.... |

| This little $5 yard sale picture LOOKS innocent...but.... |

| I decided to hang her in the sun room. Do you see that blank space over the lamp? ...I thought that would be a great place for my new picture. First off, the lamp was blocking the picture...so, it had to move. Then, I decided to do a new vignette on the side table...then...a new one on the ottoman.... The domino's are starting to fall!!! |
 |
| I thought the typewriter was too far below the picture, so I propped it up with some books. Then, the dog wanted to be propped up so I found a little bitty book for him. |

| I think this huge book will look good on the ottoman.... |

| Wait, now the other side of the sofa looks bad. I've stole the lamp for the other table...the big fan is in the middle of the sun room, so I put it where the lamp was. I think I'll move the sofa down a little and put the desk next to it....hmmmm, now I have room for the chair on the side of the desk..... |

| This little diary belonged to my mother when she was about 16....it is filled with stories of her day to day life as a teenager. PRICELESS! |

ReplyDeleteI totally agree seems that happens to me also. I would love to have a screened in porch only have a open air deck which is on the West side of the house and on the golf course fairway! So I really am big time jealous. Enjoy your blog! <:)

I love that the new picture is in an ivory frame because the picture just pops out at you!! I love the way you used your books to decorate. Your mothers diary is something always to treasure as you said, 'Priceless.'

ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the books!! Love the book lamp!! I have been playing in the Den and will be putting up a post today. I think I have to add some books now to my new vignettes in the Den....
I extended the patio on the weekend and pulled a muscle in my back causing my sciatica to kick in so I have been off from working and relaxing...
You have shared so many great ideas here...I am so inspired!! I will be on the look out now for some older books.... Our church flea market is next weekend!!
The heat and the humidity are gone finally and I can go outside and breathe now!!

Wow, you have your mother's diary - how great is that. I know the domino effect too well. I used some bed springs in a project that lead to redoing the mantel which lead to moving a cloche which lead to...you know what I am talking about!

My granddaughter bought a used one for a friend who loves old typewriters. I think she wants to type on it for awhile.
