After moving my new Pilgrims several times, I finally decided that I liked them best in front of the fireplace..... |
I tried them in front of the buffet and also in front of the china cabinet.....but, they found a home in front of the fireplace. |
I am going to serve our Thanksgiving dinner...... |
on a carefully selected mix of my favorite dishes.... |
Each place setting is different... |
but they all have the same theme......roses!
All the Halloween decorations have been put away and I am only decorating the dining room for Thanksgiving. |
We have dug out all the Christmas totes..... |

Wow Penny, your Thanksgiving table is just beautiful, and I love that each place setting is unique, with a common theme of roses... sigh... love your sparkly lit trees in the background too... I too start my Christmas decorating early, so I can take my time, and linger over each cherished ornament as I am flooded with precious memories... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteYour dining room tablescape is stunning. I love that you are using different dishes - very unique. Love those pilgrims and they look great in front of the fireplace. I really like the two trees with the clear lights on them. I am looking forward to Christmas this year.

Penny!! Beautiful!! Just how big is that dining room!! WOWZA!! Love those white trees.I so wish I had room for something like that!! I am finally going to be able to start to think about Christmas decorating. I HAVE to start now if I ever hope to get done. I have no idea if I will get to the upstairs this year so I am focusing on just getting the downstairs done. I start prep work up in the attic tomorrow......

YOu have sicha lovely big dining room, with room for a crowd! And I love that you make Thanksgiving suit you and your home. A few years ago I was trying to figure out how to make my blue dishes work on a holiday table that seemed to be focused on nothing but brown and orange. A decorating friend came to my rescue and showed me how to make it work for me , and I was so grateful!
ReplyDeleteI so want to come and peek into all of your nooks and crannies! Love your style. And I'm right there with you on Christmas!!!

I love all the place settings- I collect all colors of Fiesta Ware so I am all about mismatched dishes.
ReplyDeleteYour dining room looks so pretty, Penny. It's very Victorian/romantic - the pastels are great. I can tell you adore pink. Me too! :-)

I like how each place setting is different but you kept the theme/color scheme the same. Great idea for antique plates which are hard to find in large sets!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love your pink chairs and the lighted trees! Picture perfect!

ReplyDeleteThanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Love the gathering of family and sharing our traditional feast. We too have so much to be thankful for. I love the mixture of your rose dishes. I have beautiful floral china in peach and pink that I have not used for years. I think it will be perfect for this Thanksgiving. Our youngest is back home after being away for a year and all the kids will be here. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
