Chandy Bling

We took down the dated ceiling fan that was in the "eating end" of the family room.   The chandy that I found to hang in its place was pretty plain...but it had good "bones".    All I needed to do was Pennyfy it a little...or a lot...lol!

Here she is with all her new bling on....isn't she a beauty!   I wanted to share the process with you...so, here goes...

The first thing I did was add some clip on flowers.

I found these roses at the 50% off after Christmas sale at Garden Ridge.  I love the way I was able to just easily clip them on to the chandy.

The roses have pretty pearls and ribbon hanging from the bottom.....

The next thing I did was to go thru my stash of fabric.   Whenever I find fabric that I like on sale, I get several yards and put it away for future projects.    I tied some sweet bows to the shades, and made a simple table runner.

I also hot glued the same fabric to the little plastic posts that cover the electrical wiring......I can't think of what they are called, but you know what I mean...lol!

Next I added some pink crystals,   I bought these in 2012 at Garden Ridge 50% Christmas sale.   I bought quite a few and have already used them last year on a couple of projects...but I had just enough left to put on my new chandy.

Aren't they pretty!

I made a simple table runner , but later I may add some ruffles to the ends.    I bought this fabric when Ben Franklin went out of business here in Clovis...I think it was only about $1 a yard.   I bought 10 yards!

I hope that I have been able to give you a few ideas on how to add bling to a plain chandy...
