I have a vintage velvet Valentine candy box and some old issues of Romantic homes. The old issues are still my favorite to sit and thumb thru with a nice cup of tea. |
I failed to get a before picture of the lamps, so you will have to picture them with all the electrical still there. |
I also decided to paint the gold bases. I painted the bases cream and then dry brushed some pink over that. |
This pink candle smells like roses..... |
This yellow candle smells like honeysuckle..... |
I am already thinking ahead to what I can display on my "candle holders" ....birds and nests in the spring......for Easter....maybe some sweet little bunnies! |
H and I love to spend time in the sun room...here is a big comfy chair for H.... |
Lots of pillows for his back... |

ReplyDeleteMUITO LINDO!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I love the bases you chose! And you're right, what fun to add new things as the seasons pass. They really fit well right where you put them!

ciao

I absolutely LOVE visiting you! I come away each time with more imagination. I have a very old lamp and was advised NOT to paid that base..but ..now I think otherwise. What a collection of glorious old lamps you had. You must have sheds like I do..or some sort of storage area's. The room you featured on this post..the sunroom, how is it shaped. And the display cabinet you have your "candle holders" in..what is it or how was it made. It's so interesting. What a great place to display treasures! Cannot..CANNOT wait to see your Easter decor!
ReplyDeleteYour home is so beautiful! I love your style! The pink chairs below are fab, very chic!!

ReplyDeleteHi Penny,
ReplyDeleteI tried to leave a comment earlier, but I don't think it went through. Your teacup lamps are so adorable! You are very creative. I love the beads on your rose candle. Did you make those too? Happy Tea Day!
Hi Donna, I am so sorry to hear that you had trouble leaving a comment....glad you were finally able to! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! The beads around the rose candle were a gift to me several years ago, and I don't know where she bought them. If anyone else knows where you can get them, please let me know, I would love to have another one! Hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteHello Penny, Your newest display is so unique and interesting! I love the way you think! lol! Lamps into decorative stands is brilliant. They all look amazing together in your sun room.

I'm almost sad to see you use the lamps as candle holders. They are my favorite lamps that I have in my home. I quess when I get to many of them I can make candle holders. Do you know any background on this type of lamp. I haven't been able to find any info on them. Keep up the beautiful work

Your lamp "stands" turned out so pretty. What a great idea! You are so fortunate to have a sunroom. My parents have one and use it all the time. It would be so wonderful to sit out there during this cold, cold winter on a sunny day and dream of spring. ~Deborah
