$15 for all the pieces, which I thought was a good deal. |
There aren't any markings on the set.....does anyone know who might have made them? |
I found lots of pretty dishes at the sales.... |
Two pretty plates.... |
On the back, they are marked Theodore Haviland...Limoge...and I can't read the rest! They were half price, so I only paid $1 each. |
This sandwich bag of hot pads was $2 and held 9 little hot pads. |
A rose dish for .75 and a cake stand for $3. The cake stand still had the HL price sticker...$19.99. |
The hand painted rose plate on the left was also half price,,,$2,50. The big serving place in the center was $1. |
Fine China....Japan....Forever. |
Sweet little bunny with her plaid Easter basket....$3. The round pink moire pillow was $1 and I also got a blue one that you can see in the last photo. |
I loved this little crib comforter..... |
The embroidery work on it is beautiful, and there isn't a stain or worn place on it! |
Here you can see the crib comforter and the blue moire pillow better. |
I wanted to show you a few of the things were saw at Ransom Canyon. This is the "Iron" house.....built by Robert Bruno. He spent 23 years building this sculpture/house out of 110 tons of steel. |
Some of the gorgeous homes.... |
We really enjoyed our day at Ransom Canyon and will visit there again.....it is only about 10 miles south of Lubbock Texas and we go there at least once a month to shop and eat lunch! http://thetablescaper.blogspot.com/ http://lifeasweknowitbypaula.blogspot.com/2014/04/no-rules-weekend-blog-party-with-linky_9.html http://www.impartinggrace.com/2014/04/grace-at-home-no-101.html http://www.livingwellspendingless.com/2014/04/10/thrifty-thursday-week-55/ http://thebrambleberrycottage.blogspot.com/2014/04/time-travel-thursday-193-talented-time.html http://www.theselfsufficienthomeacre.com/2014/04/the-homeacre-hop-65.html http://rootedinthyme.blogspot.com/2014/04/spring-cottage-mantel-and-simple-sweet.html? You did good at that yard sale, beautiful china and prices.
ReplyDeleteWow, you found some great deals.. Beautiful china! And the cute bunny is my favorite.. Have a happy week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI don't know who made that unmarked set, Penny, but those are REALLY PRETTY pieces. Love the floral pattern on them. Cute little bunny and crib comforter, too. You always find things!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone still live in the iron house? It looks almost abandoned. xo Diana
What a great day. Love your Forget-me-not pieces which look like Japan to me. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteLooks like great day! Love the dishes! The iron house is amazing! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!
ReplyDeleteRuth
What a great find, and even better price.

You sure got some good deals! That Robert Bruno house looked like a metallic dinosaur to me!!
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteThe tea set is so sweet!! It looks like one I have that was "Made in Japan". They seem to be the same shape from that era. The other dishes are pretty too!! I am looking forward to the start of yard sale season here. Too cold yet. High's only in the 50's and low's in the 30's......I am still trying to get a handle on my house....
Hugs,
Deb
Wonderful plates, whoo wish I had your home, it is so beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteYour house is "eye candy" for me. :) I absolutely adore your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI love that tea set, but I think my favorite of your finds is the handpainted rose plate.
Great finds! Exactly what I would have bought. You were lucky that more than 4 homes participated. That was my problem Saturday! :-( I think I have the same rose dish that you got for 75 cents.
ReplyDeleteYou found some lovely things, Penny. The china with the forget-me-nots is really pretty. Thanks for linking up with me at Tea Time and enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi

Wow, what a great bunch of yard sales and terrific finds. I would love to find such around here!
ReplyDeleteAll the things you bought are so lovely. You got some really good prices on things.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have a fun day of shopping at all the Yard sales! The blue flowered tea set is my favorite and a fabulous price. I wondered where Ransom Canyon was and was surprised to find it is so near Lubbock. My son worked in Lubbock last year at a TV station as their weekend sports anchor. We would go to the antique malls and thrift stores in town while visiting him. He is now here in DFW working for Rockwall School District as their Sports Media and Special Assignments and making a much better salary. We love having him with in minutes of us. Some people would not understand driving a hundred miles to a yard sale but we drive 45 miles from Dallas to Ft. Worth to shop and eat and think nothing of it! Love viewing all your great sales!
ReplyDeletePam
Such beautiful pieces!
ReplyDeleteWow! What an awesome "haul"! Your home is beautiful, too!
ReplyDeleteEverything so beautiful! I love your finds. The china, the bunny, the pillow...wow!
ReplyDeleteKisses

Aside from Walt Disney World or Europe I think your home is the closet to where I would love to visit and chat awhile!! Lovely bounty! Lori
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous finds. Loving the forget me nor set.
ReplyDeleteYou found the mother load of all bounties! WOW! I have looked for tea sets all over our town and no one wants to get rid of theirs :( I would have picked the ones you picked too, they are so lovely! Your house is just as beautiful :) -Bev
ReplyDeleteHi Penny: Another wonderful load of fun treasures. You are one lucky lady. Have a great week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteMy sister lives in Ransom Canyon, on East Canyon Drive. You found some wonderful things. I wonder if my sis had things for sale? Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteHello Penny,
ReplyDeleteYou did really well at that sale! The forget me not dishes are fabulous! I don't have a clue though who manufactured them. The limoges plates too are a real find for 2 bucks! All your new treasures are fab. You must have come home pretty happy : )
Yay!
Don't you just love washing up new china you get at a sale? I do...
Hugs,
Terri
Wow Penny, you did find some amazing treasures! I really need to look around at sales like this, I just don't come across many. Enjoy them!!
ReplyDeleteI love that china tea set!! Thank you for the tour of Ransom Canyon.
ReplyDeleteYou got some beautiful china there Penny! The best of all, such great deals, wow! I see some European china, even vintage with no Brand names or anything. Sometimes they just didn't Brand some pieces in the old days, so maybe it is vintage.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
FABBY
What a great haul!!! The china is lovely and I love the linens and hot pads. Thanks for the peak at your goodies. Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteI love it all. You scored big time! Beautiful! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI just love forget me nots and the blues and pinks. Some great finds. The linens are beautiful. I can not wait for garage sale season
ReplyDeleteJanice
Wow did you do well! I love all the dishes you found. What a bargain.
ReplyDeleteYou scored some wonderful finds! That set for $15 was a great deal and the blue flowers are very pretty. Your kitchen is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFabulous finds. Can't wait for the miles long sale out of Cleburne, Easter weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou really found some good items at a great price. And that Iron house juxtaposed after all your darling purchases is quite a contrast. I wonder what the neighbors think of that place.
ReplyDeleteOh, my Penny - what wonderful finds! I was drawn to the name of the place you went to - can't wait to tell Dearest - Ransom is our last name! I do appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
ReplyDeleteKathy
I love the blue set, beautiful, thanks for joining us again on Tuesdays With a Twist.
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, I am not a blogger myself but I love your blog spot! I visit it every day! The problem is that I am not receiving anything from you. it has been about two weeks since I have seen anything on my email from you! Would it be possible for you to help me with this so that I might receive your blog spot on my email again?
ReplyDeleteI am not very computer savy....lol! I don't have any idea what to do......any other bloggers have the same problem? Would really appreciate some help with this problem that Pink Roses is having....hugs, Penny
