Dressed for Halloween

I "dressed" the entry for Halloween by dressing a chair with a spooky black witch dress.   This tattered vintage wedding dress was worn by my dress form last Halloween,  but I wanted to do something different with it this year.
I found this plain jane witch at Tuesday Morning,  so I had to embellish her just a little.....
and here is her side!

All of my other owls have a sweet look,  but this one looks EVIL....
I didn't have a caldron for my witch to stir,  but I thought this old chamber pot kind of looked like one.   I stacked some black velvet pumpkins in it.....
And place some matching ones beside it.
I wanted to show you a close up of the witches dress.     H dyed it in a big pot out in the back yard last year.  The dress had several kinds of  fabrics and they all absorbed the dye in a different way for a great look.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

  1. Those black velvet pumpkins look great! I love how you used a chamber pot! So clever!

  2. What fun! I too love those black velvet pumkins - and that neat dress I missed last year so it is a neat surprise.

You are so danged clever, Penny! Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. I love the black touches of your gorgeous decors. Your entry is perfect for Halloween!

  4. Your home is so spooky! Love all the imaginative Halloween décor,

  5. The black wedding dress on your dress form was one of my favorites last year. I love the way you have styled it this year on the chair. That is one evil-looking owl! Thanks for sharing your Halloween vignette on Make It Monday.

  6. PENNY!!!!!

I think I will be on the look out for a black lace dress for Minerva for next year!! LOL!!

  7. Love the witch! And the "cauldron" with the black pumpkins. And the blue black wedding gown. You are so clever -- I always look forward to seeing what you've done next!

It makes my day to hear from my friends!
