My theme for this simply elegant fall tablescape is Ivory and Gold..... |
I bought this set of dishes at the auction ($7)...no one else would bid on them.... |
Why? because the cups and saucers were missing. That didn't matter to me as I knew some gold cups and saucers would look great with them. |
The center piece is simple.....white ironstone pitcher filled with a cluster of fruit..... |
The cups and saucers that I used are part of this tea set that belonged to my mother.... |

You really scored with the china, Penny. The gold and ivory is very elegant and looks splendid with your gold teacups and tea set. That centerpiece is lovely for Autumn too and I love your Baby Boos sitting on each place setting! Thank you for sharing and joining me for tea. Wishing you a most delightful day!

What a lovely table. Your Syracuse China is FABULOUS! Vintage USA pottery is my favorite kind of dinnerware, and your blog post shows why. Love the little natural pumpkins. Pretty, pretty, pretty!
ReplyDeleteGold or silver is always elegant! Everytime I see your blog pop up in my email.. I'm here in a FLASH!! Right away I think of something I could do that I've never done before! Better than magazines!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Penny, that is an amazing tea service! It looks as if you could have royalty for tea! I love your place settings and the fall
ReplyDeleteJust perfectly elegant. Those dishes were a steal! Beautiful! And they go perfectly with that gold tea set.
ReplyDeleteI wished there were auctions around here (Orange County, CA); they have estate sales, and the prices are ridiculous compared to what you get when you can bid! Auctions would be so much more fun! Love the gold/white dishes. They look very pretty and elegant.
ReplyDeleteHi Penny: I truly thought I had visited you, but I do not see a comment. I love the tea cups your Mother gave you. I think this is the second time you have shared them. They are stunning. Dishes are back either :) They are beautiful. Have a great week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteHi Penny--your table is simply gorgeous! $7 is a great buy, especially with those pretty gold teacups of your mother's. I really liked the white pumpkin picture--the perfect fall touch :) Have a great week!
