Two great auctions in one day......that's my kind of Saturday! In the morning we went to an estate sale....they sell the contents of the house and then sell the house. I bought three gorgeous antique chandeliers at that auction....
a big chandy....
|
and two smaller ones.
The two smaller ones are just alike.
|
The chests of silverware were so reasonable that I bought not one...... |
|
but two sets. |
|
Pretty silver tea set...... |
|
and a tea for one set. |
|
There were two big black enamel pots, but of course I bid on the white one! |
|
In the afternoon we dropped by the auction that was held at our local auction house. |
|
They advertised that the estate they were selling had over 2000 salt and pepper shakers.....as well as over 2000 dolls! They didn't exaggerate one bit! |
|
I bought two boxes of salt & pepper shakers and most of them will go to the booth... but.....maybe I'll keep a couple! |

The small chandy is my favorite - and it's a twin! My niece would have gone crazy over the S&P's. Thank you for sharing your finds at Make It Monday.
ReplyDeletePenny you scored big! Love it all. Jo

What a pretty tea set for one!!! It is a hydranga.... one of my favorite flowers!
ReplyDeleteWow, what great finds. Love the chandys, and the silver is lovely. I wouldn't have been able to pass that up!
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Thanksgiving!
Penny, you always score big when you go to an auction. I would love to find an old crystal chandy for the crystals. I have been wanting to makeover my own and I need crystals which are rather hard to find here. And to find two chests of silver; what a haul! The tea-for-one is pretty too. Thanks for joining me for tea and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Sandi
The small chandeliers are gorgeous! You must have far better auctions where you are than there are around here. Love the enamel pot.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds as usual! The chandeliers are gorgeous

Wow -- you sure scored! We are more into estate sales now -- you can come and go but usually the bargains are not there like at auctions (I remember my $1 table and my $5 chair -- LOL!)
ReplyDeleteHow I wish there were auctions close by. No garage sales or Estate sales lately. Hurt knee has kept me home.
ReplyDeleteWhat great things you found. Just beautiful!!
