H measured 9" of snow on our front porch this morning.....it is a winter wonderland in Eastern New Mexico today! |
|
The sun is peeking thru the clouds.....if it comes out, the snow will melt pretty quick. We don't get a lot of snow around here, so I am sure all the kids will be out soon making snow men. |
|
H had to brave the cold and go over to our daughters house this morning to let the dogs out for a few minutes. The snow was up to his knees......well almost.....lol! |
|
It is pretty deep though... |
|
I love how the snow looks on the chandeliers.... |
|
The back yard looks beautiful with all the snow..... |
You can see how deep it is on the greenhouse roof.......
|
This is the faux fireplace on the deck outside the sun room..... |
|
The faux chicken coop is buried beneath this mound of snow...... |
Well I'll be danged. I had absolutley no idea it ever even snowed in NM - I always imagined it a hot desert. Now I am embarrassed. You know I don't remember a warmer December and Jan (so far) here in Ohio. It snows a LOT - but hasn't since early November - enough to comment, anyway - some frozen little bits flying about doesn't count.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE winter and love the pretty snowfall. I hope it isn't a nasty late winter we get. But to be honest, if it is going to be cold, I concur - Let it Snow, Let it Snow, let it Snow! Yours is gorgeous.
Happy New Year, Penny! Hugs.
Penny, that is just beautiful! I love the circle of your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThe children in the neighborhood are going to have a ball! :-)
Winter is my favorite season of all, of course living in the Colorado mountains is perfect. We live at 8,000 feet, so lots of snow for us.
I enjoyed my visit here today, thanks for sharing your lovely photos.
Blessings for this New Year.
Joy to you!
Debbie
Penny, I am totally amazed at the snow there. So glad it is where people will enjoy some of it. and that it doesn't last long. We have been lucky so far. There was a bit of ice this morning in Indiana. Blessings to you and "H" walk carefully. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletePenny it looks so magical but can imagine how disruptive it all is. We had a tiny bit of snow on Boxing Day so almost got a white Christmas but it was shortlived. Take care. Chel x
ReplyDeleteDear Penny, Everything looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year. Catherine
I love all your snow photos Penny, it doesn't snow that much in Georgia.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Penny!! It's like a beautiful wonderland out there. I can see another house and was wondering if that is also your property? It's difficult to tell from the photo's and I wasn't sure if there were two homes or just the one.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is just gorgeous! I love all the new changes you've made! Adorable. I thought of you when I put out my ME teapot and cups and saucers that you inspired me to search for and find! :)
So beautiful!!! It looks like a wonderland....i love it!!!
