Our backyard has the most wonderful spring smell from the lilac bush in our neighbors yard. |
I couldn't resist clipping a few blossoms from the limbs that hang over the fence into our yard. (we are good friends with our neighbor, and they don't mind) |
I hunted up some more lavender decor to do a sweet Easter vignette on the kitchen counter |
I pulled out some lavender crocheted pieces that my mother made back in the 50's |
I put my bouquet in the "hub" of the house so we can smell the lilacs in almost every room |
Sign of spring are coming out all over the yard.... |
The lilac bush has just started to bloom, so the house should smell like spring for several days |
With Easter just a few days away, things are getting hectic around our home.......so, if I don't have time to do another post.... .Have a Blessed Easter http://www.savvysouthernstyle.net/ http://www.flusterbuster.com/2015/03/flusters-creative-muster-party-117.html

Have a wonderful Easter with your family. I am working the whole weekend as it is not a Holiday for us but it s my weekend to work. The kids are coming on Sunday for Easter dinner...

how wonderful to be able to share your neighbors bush and how wonderful your house must smell. Like your mug tree with all your different cups and how special to have crocheted items of your moms, I know I treasure the ones I have from my mom and mother in law, Gorgeous home!
ReplyDeleteThose are my VERY FAVORITE spring flower (bush one). There is nothing like the smell of Lilacs in a house , is there? Love the mug tree, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment about on my blog about the veterans today. I really appreciate it. xo Diana
SO pretty. I miss the lilac's that used to grow over our porch in Portland Oregon. You don't see many of them in Southern California. I wonder why. My grandmother made one of those grape doily's and I loved it and used it for many, many years. I am always on the lookout for one in my garage sale foray's. Everything so Easterish and like Springtime...lovely, Penny. I caved and added an old piece of lace to the fireplace mantel. :) It was just a strip of dirty old lace..washed it up and it turned out so pretty. You are a great influence!
ReplyDeleteGorgepus lilac blooms! I love all the lavender touches and decors. Happy Easter to you and your family.

Reminds me of both my mother's and grandmother's yard, and hopefully the cuttings my mom is taking, she'll be able to gift me.
