We took a family vacation to east Texas for spring break... what a wonderful time we all had! |
Aren't the fields of Blue Bonnets just gorgeous! |
Our daughter had never been to Canton, so that was our first stop. You can't go to Canton without a visit to Laurie Anna's shop. (http://laurieannas.blogspot.com/) |
I bought this sweet sheep blackboard there....well and maybe one or two more things......lol! |
We drove down the road to Paul Michaels where I found the cutest metal garden signs and some faux peas..... |
Then it was on to Canton Trade Days the rest of the day. I was too busy shopping to take any pictures...sorry...lol! |
We drove to the Dallas/Ft Worth area for the rest of our spring break vacation. We had made reservations at the Great Wolf Lodge for some family fun...... |
They have a huge indoor water park inside the lodge |
On the left is our daughter Melissa and grand daughter Kyleigh..... .on the right is our grand sons....Aaron and Austin. |
They had story time every night in the lobby..... |
The Wisteria is in full bloom in in the Dallas area and there are lots of places to shop. I did manage to find a LITTLE time to shop....lol! |

Penny,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a wonderful time!! We have a Great Wolf Lodge here in the Pocono's not to far away ......
Love all your buys and Canton seems like a fun place and one where I would love to go.
Our temps. are finally above freezing but only in the high 40's with rain so we have had some dark and deary days that play havoc with my arthritis......
But there are some signs of Spring with a few plants popping up in the yard!!!
Good to see you back to blogging but thrilled you had a great time with family!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Fantastic vacation. Just wait til my knee gets well..I'm gonna do something like that! Maybe. :) The things you find are just so unusual and amazing. I don't think I've ever seen a more decorated, charming, interesting and fascinating home as yours. You inspire me to do things I have wanted to do and worried my daughters, or the neighbor, or a girlfriend wouldn't like it. Now I do it anyway...and they like it! Even copy me...no..it's actually true.
ReplyDeleteI go into a spaced out time when I visit you. Ohhhing and ahhhhing all the way through to the end.
I can't wait to see all you bought. You ARE going to show us, aren't you? :) What a nice looking family you have too! How COULD they be anything else! :)
Big hugs! So glad you had so much fun!
Mona
