Let's Make a Garden Bench

H married a headboard....footboard....and bench together to make a garden bench for the front yard.

What fabric should I use to make the seat pad and dust ruffle?

 Homestead Resort Spa Green is the lovely color that H painted the bench.   It is a Valspar exterior paint that we purchased at Lowe's.

My new bench started out in front of the little trailer that sits in our front yard.   Our trailer will also be getting a makeover soon....but, that's another post.     The fabric cover that I have over the bench is a shower curtain.  Yard sale shower curtains make great outdoor fabric,  this one has been out in the weather about 5 years.   Other than fading,  it is still in pretty good shape,  but it is time for a change....lol!
H screwed  a headboard to the back of our bench,   cut the footboard in half for the sides,  and used posts from the footboard for the front of the bench  (under the seat)

When these rockers finally "bit the dust"  H took them apart and we use the spindles for projects...like the new bench

You can see how plain the arms and sides were until he added some spindles to dress them up

After the bench was assembled,  H put a good coat of  white primer on,   

I have the bench sitting in front of the house for now.   After the trailer gets a mini makeover,  it will go back to it's original spot.

    I personally like the light green fabric with the flowers more spread out, but that's only my opinion! I'm sure whatever you choose, it will be great! I love the bench and look forward to seeing your trailer redo! Have a super night! Blessings, Cindy

    I can't get over it that you have so many other places on your property to play other than your home ...like the Tea Room, Potting Shed, Studio and now a trailer!!!!! I am green with envy, my friend!!

    Love this bench. I made one and used it for my daughters wedding. Then my husband said we didnt have room for it. So I sold it. He was right but I wish I had it back. Love yours, very cute.
