I fall-i-fied the armoire in the sun room this morning. |
I added some fall touches to the existing wreath and put a new vignette in the armoire |
This is how the armoire looked all summer.....two chicken wire birdcages and some lamp bases. |
You can see in the before and after how I added subtle touches of fall to my wreath by tucking in some gold flowers and a few rusty pinkish flowers. |
I am doing a fairy fall garden theme in the sun room this year. |
I wanted the "floor" of my fairy garden to look similar to the ground you would see in the forest..... |
I used rust colored excelsior, pine cones, and ferns to give my floor that feel. |
Now that my fairy garden in the armoire is finished, I can enjoy a cup of tea and relax in the sunroom. . My "new to me" Seymour Mann tea pot is a recent yard sale find. |

ReplyDeleteGood morning Penny,
ReplyDeleteYour Fall touches are lovely and those teapot houses in your fairy garden are so cute! I LOVE your whimsical Seymour Mann teapot! What a darling find! You have a gorgeous sun room flooded with light in which to enjoy your tea time. Have a beautiful day and thanks for joining me for tea.
Blessings,
Sandi
That's a gorgeous wreath, Penny. I had to smile at how different my new wreath is from yours..and it's yours I like the best. I went right on and decorated for Halloween...It's already so near Halloween. Besides, when you go to so much trouble to fix everything up for the season, and then only be able to enjoy it for a week or so.. Your little sun room look so cozy and inviting. The teapot was another great find. I found NOTHING this weekend. Well..a beaded glass case in perfect condition all lined in rich satin. A new unwrapped box of note cards and the one thing I was delighted with was a jade green gargoyle (sp?) from Disneyland at one time with a very faint tag on the bottom reading 49.95.
ReplyDeleteGot it for a quarter. Very heavy and very scary for Halloween. :) So I didn't come home exactly empty handed.
Have a wonderful day, Penny. Hugs.
I think all fairies would be drawn to your houses like a magnet. They would say "let's hang out here" there is so much delight! I loved your posting!
ReplyDeleteYour sitting room is scrumptious! Hugs, Camille
ReplyDeleteIf I were a fairy, I would love to live in your teapot houses!
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is gorgeous! it's so full and lush. You have so many lovely touches here. I'd like to invite you to share at Snickerdoodle Sunday. We would love to have you join us!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have that gorgeous sun room, you have it all decked out for the fairies to come visit. Our daughter does a fairy garden with her girls every year on Mothers day. I can hardly wait to see what she's done every year.
ReplyDeleteYour fairy garden is luscious along with your huge pretty wreath. Where do you get the time to do all you do and keep your home so nice? Any picture ever seen is always looking so pretty. I had no idea you lived in Eastern New Mexico, do you get lots of snow in winter? I live in western CO few miles west of Grand Junction out in country, we have a fantastic view and are about 2 miles north of CO river/I-70 rushing thru.
Enjoy your wonderful sun room. the new mown grass would smell so fresh and clean.
That is so super cute! A fairy garden is a lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, you are amazing. I love your wreath and the fairy garden is so special. All your touches are gorgeous.

Penny,
ReplyDeleteThe wreath is breath taking and that furniture piece is drop dead gorgeous!! Love the fairy garden vignettes! I think I will bring on my Fairy garden things instead of packing them away for the Winter... thanks for the inspiration!!
Hugs,
Deb
You have a wonderful conservatory, I imagine it is a wonderful place to sit and relax. You have been busy with your autumn wreath and your fairy garden, just the things for the season. I like them both. And your teapot, my SIL collects them as well and she has some very nice ones.
