Junkin

Wow,  what a day of junkin we had Friday!
We drove over to Amarillo Texas.....about an hour and a half away......and stopped by their largest garage sale.     It's held in a huge warehouse in the old downtown area.

Almost everything is color marked....red is $3 and so on.     Almost everything was under $5.

There were several peg board "walls" of pictures and mirrors right as you come in the front entrance.   The gold mirror you see on the floor came home with me...$3.

The next area you come to is several tables of lamps.....

Furniture......

Silver.....

The rest of the warehouse was a "sea" of tables with holiday decor,  dishes,  you name it,  they had it.

This sale was on last week end too.....I can't imagine how full  the warehouse was to begin with!

I revisited the silver table.......See the empty area?

This beauty came home with me.

I wanted to show you the fabric that my silver is sitting on.
It's hard to find fall fabric with pink or pastel colored print,  but I did find this at Joann's.    It was originally $8 a yard,  but was 70% off that day.

I was able to add another Gunne Sax dress to my collection.

Aren't these "add on" candleabra arms cool?    You just put them where the candles would normally go and they add more arms to your existing candleabra.    H is going to have to do some work on my arms,   straighten them out a bit...lol!

I am always glad to find fall holiday decor in pastel colors.    I wanted to share where I found these in case you might need some softer colors this fall.     The White Pumpkin candle came from TJ Maxx.    Thanksgiving paper plates and napkins also came from there,    as well as the Ghost hand soap  (I bought that for Kyleigh to have on her side of the bathroom vanity)
The large square paper plates came from Michael's.

  4. I do love those convertible type candelabras, Penny. I went to an estate sale this weekend that had a pair of those, but they were a little too pricey. I'm hoping for a 50% off day and that they'll still be there - fat chance, huh?! You did very well.
