Junkin

We went to a few yards sales Saturday morning and then spent the rest of the day at the auction.     We hadn't been to the auction in a while and it was fun to chat with our friends.    I was busy visiting and missed one of the items I had intended to buy....oh well,  friends are way more important!

I have been in a nautical mood recently and thought these ships might be a fun item to decorate with.....

These glass boxes were in the same box with the ships.   They were pretty dirty,   so they got a good scrubbing in the sink.    I don't have any ideas for them yet,  so they may be headed to my booth.

I always buy pretty sheets when I see them at a yards sale.    This king set was $4 and I will probably use the fabric to upholster a couple of  vintage chairs that I have.

$3 vintage apron....

I had these roses left over from the wedding buffet and when I saw this wrought iron planter for $2,   I thought of them.       I can also think of many other ways to use it.

I remember playing with these when I was young.....

I got the bid on this piece at the auction....$10.    The mirror is pretty well shot,   but the frame will be gorgeous painted white.

There is a 62 mile long  yard sale next Saturday  starting in  Lubbock Texas that we may go to,   but there are also two big auctions here in town....maybe we'll just flip a coin!

  1. You could actually paint that mirror with chalkboard paint, Penny. It would make a fantastic piece, I think. I have an old crocheted apron like that, too. Fun finds. xo Diana
