Christmas at the Ballet Part 2

I have made  more progress with my Christmas decorating in the dining end of the family room.    My theme for this area is Christmas at the Ballet.

I used mostly pink and white Nutcrackers in the opposite end of the dining area,     But,   with the pretty aqua's in the stained glass piece in the window,   I grouped my Nutcrackers with those colors in front of the window.
I took the large arm chairs away from the ends of the dining table and placed them in front of the window.    I also turned the dining table on an angle ....you will see that clearer in a photo further down in the post.

I think the Rat King is one of my favorite Nutcrackers.

I have a group of small Christmas tree's on the left of the window.    I have a few ornaments on the tall white one,  but I still have a lot of decorations to add.

Since the orchestra is such a big part of the opera,  I am including instruments in my vignettes.     I have a cello in this vignette.

The Nutcrackers are standing on a vintage xylophone.    I also have one Nutcracker under a crown cloche.

I added a pink tutu to the globe on my pink oil lamp.

See how the table is turned at an angle now?

I hope to finish this area in the next couple of days.   I don't have an idea for a centerpiece on the table...any idea's?
Here is the other end of the room.   To see more of the display cabinet...click here.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2015/11/decorating-for-christmas.html

After I get the table dressed and the pass thru decorated,   I will do a tour of the entire room!

  4. Penny,
LOVE the cluster of trees!! I am taking Halloween in the Dining Room down today......I used to angle our DR table but with putting the leaf in it for the Holidays when the kids will be here so often, i can't do that.....
    Looking great!!

  6. YOU are asking for suggestions?!! Pfft! Your sense of style surpasses mine by far. I would echo the colours of the stained glass window ... but I would not have the set up in your room to begin with! I live vicariously through your vision.

  9. Very beautiful Penny! You are really on the ball. I just finished putting out my Thanksgiving décor. :) I know you'll come up with something wonderful for the table, but I think you need a few nuts in a gorgeous bowl. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
