Precious Moments Christmas Train

I was to excited when I got the bid at the auction on this Precious Moments Christmas Train,   it has turned out to be one of my favorite pieces to decorate with at Christmas.

Last year she was on the piano in the family room,  but this year she is in the kitchen under our short fat Christmas tree.

I have the tree decorated in all the pastel colors that are on the train......

The tree also carries out the theme in the rest of the kitchen   "Christmas Goodies"

We are doing Elf on the Shelf with Kyleigh this year.    One of the places I plan for him to show up is on this tree playing with the elves that are already on here.....think she'll find her?   (her elf is a girl).

I started to delete this photo as the vignette next to the tree has already changed....nothing stays the same around here for long....lol!

I wanted to give you some close ups of the tree......

I have been collecting "food" for a long time.

Sandwiches,  hot dogs,   ice cream,  candy canes,   banana splits, lolly pops......if you can eat it .....it's probably on the tree,

I also have a few plaid balls ......

If you peek under the tree,  you will see that my skirt is made from cupcake pot holders.....

Here is a close up of the coal car and the passenger car.....
Home Sweet Home......
The best place to be at Christmas is home.......

  1. Looking spectacular Penny, I love a kid's Christmas and goodies are even better. I've spent the better part of the day cleaning my china cabinet, it didn't get done for Thanksgiving...and even adding a bit of red here and there. You MUST be almost done...lol. Thanks for sharing, Sandi

  5. So sweet and pretty. Love your food collection. The one thing you could use is the fake strings of popcorn. They would look great on your tree. Love your train it goes so well with all the pretties you have. I am still working on my decorating. Going out too much and procrastinating.
