I am trying a smaller version of what I have in mind to see how I like it...... |
I can't wait to get a smooth top range again like the one we had in our previous home and I want a hood vent with better lighting for the stove.top. |
I made a little toddy bar on the counter to enjoy on a cold night...... |
Here is the counter before Christmas...........................................................................and after |

I like your backsplash idea! I think it would be great to do the whole thing like that! Hope your Hubby goes along with it... I bet he will! The chandelier is beautiful!!! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all the updates that you have planned. Luckily , our townhouse had a white tile back splash were most of the other ones had the gold or avocado green tiles!! Same thing in the upstairs bathroom. We have white tile where a lot of the other townhouses in our development had the gold or green!! Thanks God i picked this house when we bought it!!
I have thought about doing a copper celing tile look for a new back splash but realized it would make my already dark Kitchen even darker so i am keeping my white tile until we sell and move into an apartment!!
Hugs,
Deb
Everything is so romantic...... I`m in love.

I like your idea of doing a detachable backsplash. It woud be easier to clean, if you move you can take it with you and can change it out as inspiration hits you.
ReplyDeleteYou are always so inventive for your awesome home! The frame with the teacups is such gorgeous

Hi Penny! I can't wait to see what you come up with!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a genius idea for a backsplash! Sorry to hear that your oven went out but so glad your getting new one soon and a new vent hood and stove! I may have to replace my dishwasher soon, it is starting to make a squealing noise...lol or I just may break it myself to stop the noise! lol
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for Toddy bars!!! Fun idea for your backsplash.
ReplyDeleteThe backsplash looks just like you, Penny. What a bummer to have your oven quit on you when you're doing your Christmas baking! What fun to look forward to new ones! Love the chandy! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi

ReplyDeleteI think your kitchen looks so very lovely! The idea you have is inspired and the piece you have done is utterly romantic and warms up the area nicely. I could not do that in my kitchen as I am a messy cook! lol! But oh do I love it in your kitchen!
