It has been so much fun moving things around to give the house a "new year" mini makeover. I get tired of having the same pieces of furniture in the same spot for years, but I really don't want to buy anything new, so I just move them and that seems to give them a new life.
This mahogany Lyre table belonged to my mother, so I have really struggled with the idea of painting it white to fit in to my decor better. It has been in the studio all these years, but I decided to bring it in ....not paint it.....and see if I could make it fit in with all the white that I decorate with.

What a unique table - Ihave never seen one like that. You have it so romantically decorated, Penny - and I adore your little kitty couple - they add some fun to the beautiful mix. ♥♥
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I really like the table. I agree with Michele, I've never seen one before. Looks great! Thanks for sharing at Inspiration Thursday! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou are just having too much fun shopping your house!
ReplyDeleteThat table is just so unique! I'd have to think twice about painting it too. Your home, as usual, looks lovely! We'd love to see pictures of your booth. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteIhave furniture that cannot be moved easily for various reasons..so I change lamps etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to mess with things and experiment with different looks even if you don't leave it for long. You DO get some of the most brilliant idea's, Penny.
I always look for things that I can use in my own home. It's great!!
Your mother's stand really is beautiful Penny. Love the pieces of artwork and doilies! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
