Speaking of coffee tables.....had any of you noticed my ottoman was replaced with a huge coffee table? After Christmas our daughter couldn't find a large ottoman to put in front of her sofa....what could I do but give her mine!
I bought this big coffee table several years ago at a yard sale ($10) . I used it for a while and put it in storage with the idea that I would sell it in the next yard sale that I had. That never happened as I love to go to sales but hate to give them. I thought it would be perfect to serve snacks on New Years Eve, so H dug it out for me. I kinda like it again, so maybe I'll keep it a while longer. |
Wooooow, the swan looks pretty amazing
ReplyDeletelove the swan and the table!
ReplyDeleteThis is why I love coming to your blog. Your pictures are so big & beautiful . After christmas it seem like a let down. Not in your house I can tell. This swan is so beautiful . I love your coffee table & how you have display the swan. It is a winter wonder land. I was glad to see you sitting in your chair. You look so cozy. Thank you for sharing your pretty work with us.
ReplyDeleteI love swans. My wedding cake topper was a porcelain swan and the wedding invitations I made had 2 swans facing each other forming a heart and it opened down the middle. Swans represent love to me, though I found out that they can be quite mean--gorgeous but mean!!!
ReplyDeleteThis swan is very romantic and such beautiful. How many snow!

You and your daughter sound just like my daughter and me. She "borrows" stuff from me all the time and sometimes I even get it back.
ReplyDeleteI want to know how you lucked out and had something still waiting for you at Home Goods. I usually pass on something and head back the next day only to find it gone. I guess it is because that swan absolutely belongs at your house.

What a gorgeous swan! I just love all the sparkles :) And can I say I'm jealous of all the snow you got! We have hardly gotten any this year. Thanks so much for linking up at The DIY Collective! We hope to see you next week :)
ReplyDeleteYour swan is beautiful. Great find and was meant for you!
ReplyDeleteYour swan is a beauty, Penny! I love the sparkle and in the wintertime why not have some sparkle around the house! After the heavy rain we just had the snow is pretty much gone but they're calling for a snow storm on Wednesday. *sigh* I don't like winter!! Thanks for sharing.

Don't you love it when you pass up something you want to wait for a sale and it works out in your favor? Your swan is beautiful and looks right at home on your coffee table. She could stay out all year! Thank you for sharing at Vintage Charm.
