I wanted to share the fun tablescape that I created on the coffee table in the sun room. Kyleigh (our 9 year old grand daughter ) will be hosting an Alice in Wonderland tea party this afternoon. |
The centerpiece of my tablescape is the Alice in Wonderland pop up book that I found at a yard sale a few years ago. |
The book was in like new condition, even the punch out figures were still in it. |
The tea set was a gift from our daughter when they visited Disneyland a few years ago. The cute paper plates are from Amazon. I made the table runner last spring. |
I got out the good silver for the tea party. The mad hatter hat is a yard sale purchase. |
I bought this sweet cabbage tea pot at an estate sale over the week end.....$1.50 |
I love the bunny head front door..... |
Mr Bunny has found a comfy seat on the sofa and is ready for the party to begin. |
There will be plenty of goodies to eat ..... |
And we'll play games too! |
The tea party guests are beginning to arrive....... |
The nutcracker couple will be at our tea party..... |
And the rabbit family will be joining the party too. |

ReplyDeleteHow cute is all that---ADORABLE...I bet it was a fun afternon, Thanks, Sandi
ReplyDeleteAdorable and what a cute idea. Did Kyliegh invite her real little friends over? What a great way to teach a little girl how to entertain.. :) Alice's experience always frightened me when I was little. Remember the part about Alice in Wonderland in "East of Eden?" She was Kathy's best friend. I remember the part when she walked right past Alice..and disappeared. An adult story, obviously. Loved Steinbeck's writing!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute idea!! I'm sure the tea party was a success with such a beautiful setting. Thanks for sharing at our Tuesday Tips and Tricks link up!

ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! Alice In Wonderland is my favorite story of all time and I always set up tea parties when I was a little girl and pretended to be Alice with all the funny people and creatures from the story. Thank you so much for sharing at Inspiration Thursday. You definitely made me smile.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! My sister in law and I hosted an Alice in Wonderland tea and baby shower for my niece and we used those same plates. So much fun to do and there wasn't a woman there who didn't have fond memories of Alice. Sue
