Yard Sale Chandy

We stopped at a "man yard sale" Friday......I didn't even get out of the car.    H got out to look at some tools he could see from the road and when he came back to the car he told me about a big box containing a chandy.    Of course,  I jumped out of the car and went to look at it!
The man said he wanted $12 for the chandy!     I have found lots of good buys at sales run by men.....they just want rid of anything to do with home decorating.
I put a big floral design of fresh cut snow balls beneath my new chandy.

I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what I have been working on the last few days.

This hall cabinet was originally designed to hold linens.    When we moved here,   H took off the doors,  painted the dark wood white,  and added lighting.    It has made a perfect home for my milk glass collection until my collection outgrew the cabinet.  I either needed to get rid of some of my milk glass or move it to a larger cabinet.

I decided to move it to a larger cabinet....lol!    So, it has found a new home in the family room lit cabinet..

I decided to turn my empty hall cabinet back into a linen storage.   Seems  the  linen storage cabinets in the utility room were jam packed...lol!    I really love linens,!!!

I turned the extra dirty clothes hamper into a big bin for doilies.....
The rest of the cabinet will hold my table linens.    I have my table runners in one area......

I have moved my vintage table cloths from the utility room.     I also have the large crocheted table cloths in place.

It's still a work in progress.    I need to move the place mats...napkins.....etc.

When I have everything in place,  I will show you this cabinet and also the progress in the utility cabinets!

  6. Major score with the chandy!!! Oh how I wish I had room for a linens only storage cabinet - mine are stashed everywhere, which is why I tend to use the same ones all the time - to lazy to go dig the stashed ones out!

  13. the chandy is monumental...Love the linen cabinet. Beware if those are old halogens---if they come down or too close they are very hot. I had some linens bleach out in a display cabinet in my shop. The fading was horrible. Otherwise it looks so gorgeous. Thanks for sharing
