H and I worked on a new yard art piece to put in the front yard today. We married a hall tree, pieces of silver, and crystals to make our art piece. |
On the left side of the above photo you can see how the black hall tree looked at Easter before it was loaded down with silver and crystals...... |
When the yard art piece was completed, we decided to put it on the right side of the garage door. |
I used fabric to attach most of the silver pieces to the different hangers on the hall tree.... |
Here is a close up of the crystals..... |
4 pieces of silver were combined to make a flower...... |
I framed the tea pot with a silver piece that I painted pink.....it's the bottom to a casserole dish. I see them all the time at yard sales for a dollar because the glass dish has been broken. |
Your art pieces are great! I love what you've done. They add so much character to your front yard and porch. Thank you for stopping by Inspiration Thursday tonight! It's great to spend Wednesday nights catching up on your latest projects and home decor.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever, charming welcome! Just think of all the stories and fantastic tales all those old silver wares are sharing---tea parties and Bridge Club luncheons, and OH, there was this ONE time that I was borrowed for a Wedding Brunch with a whole FOUNTAIN of Bloody Marys! Now THAT was an INTERESTING party!
ReplyDeleteAnd your sweet little Owly-Girl hostess with the whimsical bow---you have the gift to see the personality in things, and let them be themselves.
I think that pretty soon, there are going to be Penny-Parties, with whole bus tours of us long-time fans flocking to your door and snapping our own photos of your ingenious, charming decor.
