Cottage Style Easter Eggs from Fabric Scraps

The other day I dropped by Kerryanne's blog  (Shabbyartboutique) to see what she was she was up to and was so excited to see her post on how to use up some of my ever growing stash of small pieces of fabric.
These eggs are so much fun to make and I will give you the link to her tutorial at the end of my post.

I used the sweet Cottage style eggs that I made to give the kitchen a touch of Easter.

I took the easy way out and just added them to existing decor.    Sometimes I don't want to completely redo an area just to add some seasonal decor.

Don't you think this is such a cute way to use up some of those small scraps of fabric.

I made a few eggs with scraps of  the black and white Buffalo check material that I used in my Farmhouse style mantle

I am hoping to do a Mackenzie Childs style Easter tablescape soon,  so I will "borrow" the black and white eggs for that.

Now,   don't forget to get the link to Kerryanne's tutorial for these Cottage style Easter eggs at the end of my post....and be sure to leave her a sweet comment!

  5. The eggs are very pretty and I also love those litttle cow figures. I have a very small collection of cows, some in picture form and a couple in three dimensional form. I really like the black and white ones that you show in your little vignette.

Going over to Kerryanne's now. Isn't she amazing with all the things she does!

  6. P.S. Is that wallpaper on your backsplash? It looks like some I put on my bathroom ceiling of old tin tiles. I never thought of it for a backsplash, but I like the way it looks.

  11. I love this method on the Easter Eggs. I have used this method for years at Christmas for ornaments. Then I add string pearls in the creases. Time for me to find some eggs and dig out spring time prints...Happy crafting! :)
