I last shared the backyard about 5 weeks ago when the rose bushes were in full bloom. |
The yellow petunia's look like they need a little fertilizer to turn the foliage a darker green. H is the one with the green thumb, so I'm sure he has already taken care of them! |
Instead of hanging these baskets, I thought they would look pretty just sitting in a chair and draping all around it. |
5 weeks ago..................................................................................Now The left one is touching the ground, but the right one needs to play catch up! |
The Boston ferns love it in this shaded corner of the rose garden. |
I have plants with different leaf textures and flower colors planted around the roses. |
I can't remember what the name of this plant is, but it looks pretty next to a rose bush. |
White petunia's and begonias.................... |
On the far right of the photo you can see my vintage grocery cart sitting in the herb garden |
The mint has really grown since you last saw it....... |
5 weeks ago...............................................Now |
The flocks have just started to bloom |
They smell so good! |
The sweet potato plants took a beating when we got all the hail that damaged the greenhouse roof. They aren't as far along as they would have been, but look so much better than they did. |
You can see the big pink crepe myrtles in our neighbors back yard peeking over the roof of the tea room. And on the other side is our trumpet vine. |
Hi Penny. I happened upon your blog post about hanging bowls on the wall a little earlier today. Then I saw an enamelware set on Bonanza and I instantly thought of YOU when I saw it...even though I don't know you! :) If I had more pink in my decor, I'd snatch this set right up. I'm not a spammer, and you may have 3 sets just like this already, or maybe you don't have an interest in enamelware, but I thought I'd pass it on just in case.

I have a wall in my home where I have pottery wall pockets displayed and one fell off and broke, so I was trying to find a way to hang a bowl I have on the wall in it's place (how I found your blog!) and I was also on Bonanza seeing what they had available in wall pockets.
Anyhow, I love your blog and I will definitely be back to visit!
All of Your flowers and plants are stunning.

Lovely garden, it all looks so very lush. The plant with the white flowers is a white salvia.
ReplyDeletePenny - I thoroughly enjoyed the virtual tour of your gardens. I love all the whimsical garden decor! Happy gardening.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics of your gardens Penny. Love summer blooms in the gardens.
ReplyDeleteI have limited gardening space, but I like to have flowers. I try to use ones that do double duty like marigolds and alyssum that help deter pests. Your garden is lovely. - Margy
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely!! I guess they enjoy your hot weather there. We have had so much rain this Spring and now we are going to have a Heat Wave with temps. in the 90's, even close to 100 for the next 7-8 days!!!! We have not had heat like this in several years. I do not do well in heat and the humidity that goes along with it. I will have to go out and water all my plants so they do not bake in this heat!!
Hugs,
Deb
