4th of July Backyard Tour

The backyard is all decked out for our 4th of July celebration.

We'll cook out then watch the fireworks.        The city puts on a big display of fireworks and we can sit around and watch them from the comfort of our backyard.

The yard is pretty during the day,    but it has a special glow in the evening.

H strung lights in the greenhouse

I have two lamps on to add more light to the area.

There is a big fan in the greenhouse so it's nice to sit there in the evening and visit while sipping on  a glass of sweet tea.

Day time...........................................................................Night time

I added red,  white,  and blue touches around the yard but put most of my 4th of July decor on the greenhouse.

I asked H if I could use his red firetruck in my decor and he was sweet enough to get it down for me.      He bought his truck on one of trips on the Longest Yard Sale about 10 years ago.

I filled the firetruck with two baskets of strawberries that can easily be removed should we need it to put out a fire.....lol!

I have comfy seating on each side of the greenhouse.

You can see the tearoom in the background of the photo........

There's more seating in the tearoom and also a table and chairs in front of it.

Here's the other side of the greenhouse decorated for the 4th.   .

Our backyard is perfect for entertaining a large crowd.

There's "destinations" everywhere in the yard...........here's a swing that sits to the side of the greenhouse

Another "destination"  is the deck that comes off the sunroom

The deck is still  a work in progress.......

H hung lights over the faux fireplace.......

I filled the vintage heater with a string of red,  white,  and blue lights.

I tied the curtains back with big Patriotic bows,   and put two blue and white buffalo check pillows on the wicker settee.

I tied the curtains back on the other side of the fireplace and put a stars and strips quilt on the wicker settee.

I printed off a couple of Patriotic  pictures to put on the mantle.

I want to wish everyone..........................

a Happy 4th of July!

Your little fire truck reminds me of the small car we had as children. Wish it were still in the family!
