Have a vintage lawn chair with no seat....no problem.....paint a cow on it! |
The Junkfest is held in a field behind an awesome shop named Wild West Vintage Decor. |
There are about 50 vendors set up in the open field...... |
Some of the vendors have their goods under canopy's. |
Some vendors have their goods set up out in the hot west Texas sun! |
I loved this vintage ribbon back chair and table set. |
Wine bottle chandy! |
Farm animals painted on anything and everything. |
Farm animals painted on shovels and buckets |
Framed ceiling tiles with long horns and cows hand painted on them. |
This old metal dolly caught my eye.....more about it later |
Vintage trails become little shops at Junkfest |
A unique bar made out of truck parts and pipes |
Windmill blades |
Southwest pillows |
Screen windows and doors |
I took this photo of the shop that sits in front of the field as we were driving by |
I spend quite a bit of time in the AIR CONDITIONED shop. |
Junkfest includes this neat shop.....the field.....and another shop next door which is full of gorgeous clothes. I didn't take any pictures of the clothing shop...sorry. |
I'll just let you scroll down the inside of the Wild West Vintage Decor....... |
Now for a stroll down this pathway that leads to Penny's Junkyard! This is the path that is between the Studio and the alley fence. |
The path takes you to an area behind the studio that I call the junkyard |
It's about a 16 foot square area. H stores his collection of vintage lawn mowers here.......I see a roll away bed frame.....come enamel bed pans |
Vintage garden tools...... |
Bowling balls that I have kept to make yard art with.....but that hasn't happened yet.....lol! |
Rusty Tonka toys in a farmhouse sink. |
I asked H to dig out these dolly's from the junkyard...... |
I also noticed at Junkfest that they were using old wagons in their decorating. |
Junkfest wagons....................................Penny's Junkyard wagons |
I didn't buy anything at Junkfest this time......I need to look thru my own junk before I bring home anymore! Now what can I do with these dolly's? There's a video that Wild West has on their Facebook page if you would like to see more photos of the vendors at Junkfest. Click here.......https://www.facebook.com/WildWestVintage/ |
Oh, my----looks like my garage/yard. Fun stuff and the cows were hard to resist, I bet!

Looks like heaven!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Now I know why I can never find any good junk! It’s all in Lubbock, Texas or at your house!
ReplyDeleteI love places like this, thanks for sharing. Followed you from the Traffic Jam Weekend party.
ReplyDeletePenny, I want to BE at that place! It's a long trip from Michigan, though! But it sure would be fun!
ReplyDeleteBe still my heart! I want to come over! Thanks for sharing at TFT!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! My husband and I love junk! We don't have as much as you do, Penny, but we have our share and are always on the lookout for more that we can't live without. LOL We will have to make the trip to Lubbock sometime. Thanks for sharing. I'm pinning for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure trove of goodies! You did well not buying anything but then if you have your own private stash back at home I guess you can just shop from there for free!!
ReplyDeleteOh my this would be my Disney World.....I would be totally out of control and would need a truck to leave there with, we really don't have anything like that where I live. Thanks for sharing! Lisa@ Sweet Tea N' Salty Air
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Thanks for taking us along at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, my hubs and I like to go to flea markets and we would have loved junk fest. I too have a shed full of "junk" and I'm starting to be a little more selective before I add anything else to it. Happy gardening and junking!
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I would love to go to a Junkfest like that, but I would have to be very careful since I'd want to buy everything in site. So many treasures all over the place. Even your own little Junk pile out back has me going "oooo" and "aaaaa".
ReplyDeleteOh I'd love to visit there! Looks like so many goodies to see and explore! Thank you for sharing! Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteblessings,
Jill
