Pastel Pumpkins and Dessert Rose Dishes |
With fall approaching, it's time for me to change the decor a little bit in a cabinet I have in the formal dining room |
I keep my Desert Rose collection in this cabinet year round, but like to make some subtle changes to the existing decor at Easter, Christmas and usually in the fall. |
So many memories in this cabinet......my parents gave us this tea set one year for Christmas. |
I kept my fall decor very simple in order to keep the Desert Rose dishes the centerpieces of the cabinet. |
I brought the Desert Rose sherbet cups out of the buffet to hold the little pumpkins. |
I have service for 12 plates and stemware, so most of them are housed in the buffet. |
My Desert Rose clock came from a yard sale..... |
On the bottom shelf I have a wood slice cake that I made . I topped it with a casserole dish and surrounded it with one of each of the different kinds of glasses I have. |
I used to try to display all the Desert Rose dishes that I have, but it really looked cluttered. Now I just keep a few out at a time so each one gets it's turn in the spotlight. |
I always enjoy your visits so much, please come back again soon! |

Good morning Penny and Happy Friday to all,
ReplyDeleteOh, how cute the little pumpkins are in the tea cups with the sweetest little pink buffet. The green cake stand is very striking and I love it. Looks like a Martha Stewart scene. Desert Rose dishes are beautiful. I wish more dish companies would make things that have real personality like these dishes. It seems like none of the designers or movies makers can think on their own. Where have all the real artists like the ones of the past gone? You are a real artist in your designs. You have pride in your work.
Thank you.
Leona
Amazing!Happy Pink Saturday!

ReplyDeleteThat's eye candy for this pink lover! I love how you tell where you got something, especially the tea set from your parents. Sweet memories. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis place looks absolutely cute and vimtage! It's giving me nostalgic vibes because when I was little, I use to read a children's book that had the similar room decor.
