Welcoming November with Farmhouse Christmas Tree's

Is anyone else as eager to decorate for Christmas as I am?

My theme for my  holiday decorating this year is Christmas on the Farm.......

I have several tree's in the family room to create the feel of a Tree Farm and today I want to share the two I have over in this corner of the room.

This tree is decorated with just a few big "ornaments" instead of a lot of little ones.

The topper is just a simple windmill......

I have two white roosters and a Chicken Crossing sign in the middle of the tree.....

I needed something big to plant my tree's in,      so H brought in the stock tank I used as a fish pond in the back yard this past summer.

I filled in underneath the tree's with Farm Fresh poinsettia's and frosted white roses.

The second tree in the tank is a down swept flocked tree that I found at Walmart.     Hobby Lobby had one very similar to it for $300 on sale......mine was $140 ....regular price at Walmart.

I decorated my flocked tree with simple white poinsettia's and frosted roses.....

I kept the centerpiece for the coffee table simple......

My centerpiece is just a pre made wreath with 3 tree scented candles in the center.

Next to the tree's,    I have a chair that I slip covered with Christmas themed fabric......

If you missed the post sharing how I did it....here's a link to that post.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2019/10/diy-custom-farmhouse-christmas-slip.html

I tried several different pillows and throws on the chair,   and finally decided on this pillow......

I couldn't decide which of the throws I liked the best,    so I layered them!

The piano got a Farmhouse make over for the holidays.....

H added a galvanized metal strip ......

I added some buffalo check fabric,   a red barn,   and flocked tree to complete the new Farmhouse look for the piano.

I like a balanced look,   so of course there are two tree's on the other side of the fireplace that I can't wait to share with you guys.

I always enjoy your visit so much,   please come back again soon!

  3. Hi Penny. Give me your energy please! The trees look beautiful. You have really “gone to town” with your newly-adopted Farmhouse look. Are you converting your fantastic Shabby Chic style and adopting this new theme? I’ve noticed it’s become quite popular! Enjoy your weekend.

  5. It's all so full and luscious, Penny. But I'd like you to describe the candles and greenery on top of the piano--are the candlesticks separate and different heights or all attached on a sort of sconce? It looks so nice and I was wondering if I could create something like it on my own piano.

Can't wait to see the other two trees, too!

  7. Good morning Penny, Oh, this all so pretty. I love the use of the stock tank as base for the trees and flowers. It's interesting how the light reflects off the galvanized metal strip on the piano, it looks like glass. I do like it. At first I thought you had use striped foil wrapping paper. I love the windmill blades on the tree top. It all so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks.
