Our Front Yard ....Christmas 2019

Since most of our neighbors decorate their yards for Christmas,    H and I like to join the fun and add some Christmas cheer to our yard too!

I confine most of my Christmas decorating to the porch and the area around it....

I brought my Santa our of retirement this season.

He belonged to my mom and dad and is probably over 20 years old so it was time for a fresh coat of paint and a little makeover.

Santa has new black boots,    plaid gloves,   and a new blackboard sign.

There's no place like home for the holidays.....isn't that the truth!!!

I've already shared pics of the front porch decorated for Christmas.....

So,  I just included a couple of pics in this post,    but if you would like to see more here's a link to the op.....

I don't have a sleigh and reindeer for Santa this year......

Will a horse and buggy do?

The weather here in Eastern New Mexico is still pretty we have been able to enjoy the porch early in the evening with a light jacket and a hot cup of cocoa

Merry Christmas!

  1. Merry Christmas !your hoe is ADORABLE , great job !

  2. Good morning,
I love the Santa make over. You have my favorite horse and buggy all decked out.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Santa looks really spiffy in his new boots and mittens! And the horse and carriage is much better than a sleigh if you don't have snow. (What's your altitude there? Ha, ha!) I am in awe of how much work you and hubby put into all your holiday decor. I am doing less this year than most years as I haven't been well but it pains me as I love to decorate.

Have a very Happy Christmas and New Years, Pennny!

  4. Festive! I like your update to your santa!

  5. Very festive! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!

  6. The Santa looks great! I wish I still had the Santa that my Dad made but it did not hold up to NEPA weather in the Winter...

  7. You are most welcome, Penny! Happy to feature your beautiful NM home and porch!! Wish I could be out there where it's nice and warm. <3 (Although I am sure it does get cold in winter!)

    Happy New Year,
    Barb :)

It makes my day to hear from my friends!
