Our Front Yard ....Christmas 2019

Since most of our neighbors decorate their yards for Christmas,    H and I like to join the fun and add some Christmas cheer to our yard too!

I confine most of my Christmas decorating to the porch and the area around it....

I brought my Santa our of retirement this season.

He belonged to my mom and dad and is probably over 20 years old so it was time for a fresh coat of paint and a little makeover.

Santa has new black boots,    plaid gloves,   and a new blackboard sign.

.

There's no place like home for the holidays.....isn't that the truth!!!

I've already shared pics of the front porch decorated for Christmas.....

So,  I just included a couple of pics in this post,    but if you would like to see more here's a link to the op.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2019/12/christmas-porch.html

I don't have a sleigh and reindeer for Santa this year......

Will a horse and buggy do?

The weather here in Eastern New Mexico is still pretty mild......so we have been able to enjoy the porch early in the evening with a light jacket and a hot cup of cocoa

Merry Christmas!

  3. Santa looks really spiffy in his new boots and mittens! And the horse and carriage is much better than a sleigh if you don't have snow. (What's your altitude there? Ha, ha!) I am in awe of how much work you and hubby put into all your holiday decor. I am doing less this year than most years as I haven't been well but it pains me as I love to decorate.

Have a very Happy Christmas and New Years, Pennny!

  6. The Santa looks great! I wish I still had the Santa that my Dad made but it did not hold up to NEPA weather in the Winter...
