Five Heart Farms

Today I want to share one of my favorite places to spend a Saturday morning.    Five Heart Farms is about 4 miles down the road from where we live and this week end they were having their 2nd annual Fall Festival

A trip to Five Heart Farms is always so much fun.....and Festival week end is even more fun-er.....is fun-er a word

You all know how much I love flowers so it should be no surprise to find out that the U Pick gardens are my favorite place to be at the farm. 

It is so peaceful to stroll thru the gardens picking flowers....there are Mason jars available at the farm to tuck your flowers in as you pick them

 
Today we went early to the farm...it will get more crowded as the day goes on and that makes it harder for me to snap photo's....    

Quite a few venders have set up their tents at the farm today.....

There is a big food barn with picnic tables in it to sit down and enjoy a bite from one of the food trucks scattered around....

There is a BIG field of zinnia's that you can stroll thru.....    The big thing you see in the zinnia field is how we water fields in the dry lands of New Mexico..... 

The paths thru the flowers are getting narrower as the plants get pretty big at the end of the summer

The farm has a U Pick pumpkin patch.     Since we visited early in the day there weren't many pumpkin pickers,  but later in the day the field will be full of families picking the perfect pumpkin to take home 

 

 

 
Five Heart Farms will take on a wonderful glow about dusk when all the lights come on and the evening activities begin.     Want to see more of Five Heart Farm......

H and I enjoyed the farm Saturday morning and then we went to an auction in the afternoon.....took some pics there and bought a few things too....
