Pink Pumpkins for the Cure!

This is a repost of one that I did earlier in the summer for a magazine contest.  I wanted to post it again for the month of October.   My mother had breast cancer, so I am showing my pink pumpkins this month in her honor.

The traditional colors for fall are orange, brown, and gold.  But what do you do if those colors don't look  right with your decor?  Well, you start spraying those orange pumpkins pink and white and covering them with glitter

I went out to the pumpkin patch last year and gathered a big bag of stems.   I have let them dry all year and am using them in my displays.  My initial works for Penny and Pumpkin!

I don't know if you can tell how big  this pumpkin is, but it is very large!!

Thought I needed a nest and a couple of birds!

I've added roses, cloth, and sweater pumpkins.

I hope you enjoyed my fall display.  I will be partying at:

I started my blog in April and have so much to learn! I had to make my table cover, the table is about 11' long so it had to be custom made! Had never made one, but was pleased with the way it turned out! Hugs, Penny

  55. Penny,
I loved this post the first time I saw it and I enjoyed seeing it again. I am sorry to hear that your mother had breast cancer. Being a cancer survivor myself , when I had to have a breast biopsy three years ago, it was quite a frightening thing wondering if cancer had come back somewhere else in my body. Thanks goodness I remain cancer free. 6 years and counting..
