Welcome to our front porch! |
Ms Scarecrow greets you as you come to the front door. I stacked two large birdcages and put them on a wicker coffee table to make one really big bird cage! |
My coffee table has been used for many things...pond, filled with ice and drinks, etc!! For the center piece on it, I married a chandy and a flower urn, just happened to fit nicely! |
This is the view to your left as you come upon the porch. |
I made this bird feeder from a crystal punch bowl and assorted bowls. |
Just a little bench sitting on the porch. |
More bird houses!!! |
And here is a close up of the wuggy filled with flowers. I hope you enjoyed seeing our front porch, if you would like to see more porch ideas, please come over and see all the porches at Kelly's party!!! http://www.kellyskornerblog.com If you want to see more pink, come over to Pink Saturday! http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ I will also be partying at http://www.funkyjunkinteriors.net/ I am showing off my diy idea's on the front porch at http://diyshowoff.com/ I am joining Debbie's Newbie party at http://debbie-debbiedoos.com/ Sitting on the Porch at http://my1929charmer.com/ I'm putting the porch on http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/ |

BEAUTIFUL!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe very last thing I noticed was the whirlybird sprinkler. I haven't seen one of those in a very long time. I love the idea of putting dishes/punch bowls and such together for the birds. I have one of those fluted dishes (in my hutch though) and a light fixture probably very close to the one you have (over the kitchen table). Both were my grandmother's before they were mine. I thought about finding some items like that at a thrift store to do the same thing - wouldn't part w/my items for that at this point - but what a great idea. Lots of great ideas. Love the door w/the small porch ... I have a "staircase" (treated 2x6 and 4x4 posts) used as a porch for our RV - when we got rid of it, I kept the steps (w/o the landing) for potted plants.
ReplyDeleteAnyway - enjoyed my visit. Happy Pink Saturday!
I love your porch. It's so very lovely, peaceful and serene. If you find a strange woman sitting on your front porch serenely drinking a cup of coffee early one morning it might be me. :) If the little girl drinking fountain is gone after she leaves then it definitely was me. :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
