Whooo.....Whoooo....

Whooo's ready for fall?
 It has cooled off here in  eastern  New Mexico and there is a feel of autumn in the air.  I'm still lovin' owls and I found a really cute one this past week end when we were in Canton Tx.   If  you have never been to their first Monday market...well, you really should try to go.... it's lots of fun.        Any whooo,  back to the owl...he is made from tiny little pine cones...

Don't you just love his tail feathers?   

I decided it was time to give the hall a new, fresh fall look.  First I added this cabinet that H painted white for me.  I just sat it in front of the existing wall mirror...

Then I filled it with some owls and nests..anything that looked fallish

Here is a before and after of the newly painted cabinet..  This cabinet was in my bedroom, then I moved it to the dining room after Christmas, and now it's in the hall.  

I draped some burlap and satin ribbon around the cabinet...and put some pumpkins on the top!

I made a new rose arrangement for the hallway in a mercury glass container that I am using for the first time.  I bought it at the after Christmas sales.

There my new cabinet sits.... at the end of a very long hallway...I can barely see her!

 There are two skylights that help to make the hallway lighter, and I have put most of my collection of mirror on the walls to help bring more light to the area.

I still love my milk glass in the lit cabinets, so all I did was dust it a little and add a couple or three pumpkins to the existing vignettes.

I can't wait to show you what H is working on today while I have been decorating the hall way.  I found a wedding dress over the week end that was in pretty bad shape, several stains, a few rips  $3.   But I thought it had possibilities, sooo .....H has it out in the back yard...in a big bucket...dying it black!  I'm taking photo's of the whole process (the kids will probably use them to have me, AND H committed..lol)
