My Dream Yard Sale

My dream yard sale would be held by my best friend....she would be getting rid of all the things that she was tired of  (all just my taste, of course).....she would let me come over and go thru everything before the sale started,  ......wait!!!! wake up Penny....your dream came true over the week end!
My daughter's decorating style has changed in the last couple of years and she had a bunch of stuff packed away in the garage,  and she wanted her garage back!   So I went over Friday and helped her go thru all the boxes and she let me pick out what I would like to have before the sale.

She used to have her house decorated in the same shabby chic way that I do,  but she has decided that she likes a less cluttered look,   more contemporary,

Here is one of the two chandys that she put in the sale.    It had been on her porch,  so H took it all apart this morning and cleaned the prisms.   I can't wait to put it all back together and get it hung.

Isn't this aqua hob nail pitcher gorgeous....and there were two pretty sundae bowls to match.
She had some pretty tea cups,  an old camera,  beads,  wire shoe and flower basket....lot's of great stuff....

The tea pot on the pedestal is a Hall    The large piece of lace is a shower curtain....

I will add this to my collection of wedding stuff....

The other day I mentioned on my blog that I wondered if you could dry snow balls.   Well,  I tried it and this is how they turned out.     I put them in a footed silver bowl,  put some scented oil on them (from Bath and Body Works) placed them around  a "dreaming" cherub ,  and it all came from...you guessed it....the yard sale!

Is my dream over yet....no,  I still need to unpack the Yukon....lol!

  7. You mean to tell me there are TWO of you, Penny? :) S'wonderful!! My daughter decorates like me too and when she moved I got a lot of her things..however, one day she will get them all back. :) Aren't daughter's wonderful? Went to an Estate Sale Saturday, but I only found three small things..but it was fun. We went late..and you should never do that..not at an Estate Sale. :) That large tea pot is just wonderful! Yep, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it? :) Big hugs,

  14. How fun! Isn't it wonderful when loved ones clean house. My sister loves to shop my house. I always call her first and she always goes home with a car load of stuff that saves me from having a yard sale. You got some beautiful things, love the chandy!
