Wooden Bread Trough

I have had this big wooden bread bowl in storage for the last few years,  but I thought it would be a perfect container for all the dried flowers that I have accumulated from our garden over the summer.

I put my 'trough" in the entry for now but this corner of the house gets very congested at times.......the hall (with the traffic to the bedrooms. bathrooms, and laundry),  the kitchen opening  ( with all the traffic from the family room and sun room),  and the entry way converge here!

I hope we don't have a wreck  here and dump all the potpourri!

The entry smells wonderful .....

Maybe I should think about selling or giving some of my potpourri away....lol

This wall in the entry has a new look this fall.     I moved out the two small side tables that were on each side of the harp table.

I hung a coffee filter wreath in front of the mirror.....

My curtain hangers???    I used some wooden pant hangers that I bought at a yard sale ($5 for the box)

Left photo is fall 2014.............................................right is fall 2015
I was tired of the big mirror that has been on this wall about 6 years ,  but where could I store something that big if I took it down,  plus it could get broken.
My solution to the problem was to hang drapes.....they cover most of the mirror.....give the wall a fresh look.....and my mirror is safe!

Thanks for stopping by.....come back soon!

  2. I don't have one of the bread bowls but sold them at my shop. They are perfect for all. Sometimes if they rocked we used to put wooden knobs on them for feet.

  4. Where in the world has all my ambition gone? Just look at all the gorgeous displays you've made. It just amazes me.
That bowl is marvelous, Penny! It looks like it could roll over and spill everything out very easily. Is there something that keeps it steady. You mention someone could possibly bump it?
