Our backyard is beginning to look more like a farm than a "citified backyard". I am using farm animals as part of the decor in my flower beds this spring. |
I placed a ram and baby sheep in the rose garden right outside the back porch...... |
You've seen the baby sheep before, but the ram is a early Mother's day present from my daughter. |
I bought my concrete Rooster that's sitting on the porch at a yard sale this past week end. She's old and in pretty rough shape....kinda like me.....but she was only a dollar. |
So now I have goats in front of the green house......sheep by the back porch.....what next? Maybe a cow? I've had my eye on one at a local nursery......hint..... hint H! |
I took these photo's just as the sun was coming up this morning....see it shining on the plants It's going to be a gorgeous day! |

ReplyDeletelove ur ideas, hope u get ur cow!..... i'm in the city too, i have a sm sheep a goose and a couple of chickens :-)
ReplyDeleteOh..your little animals are so cute! I just love those! Leticia
ReplyDeleteYou must get a lot of attention from your neighbors. I have NOTHING compared to what you have and my neighbors watch me like a bunch of hawks. They say I inspire so I cannot even imagine what yours think. Have you ever had anything stolen from your yard? I have never seen so many different things that I have never seen before anywhere in posts. It's just amazing. I mean just amazingly different things. Similar perhaps but not often not just like yours. One of the first things I "coveted" of yours was that Christmas Tea pot that your daughter gave you..I searched the world over and finally found one in Australia...yep..had it shipped here and they also had a couple of cups..at least I think it was Australia. I know it was from some FAR distant land. :) I love that tea pot. It was love at first sight. Your farm animals are so unique that I wouldn't even TRY to find those. Probably custom made by some artist... LOVE your blog...no..I really do LOVE your blog!
ReplyDeleteLove the whimsical nature of your garden. Love, love, love the farm animals. Soooooooooooo cute.

Amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteSince I was country most of my life, I love this. Great idea and you have done an excellent positioning each animal.
ReplyDeleteWhimsical things are so much fun in garden! Thank you so much for always linking up to Best of the Weekend! We love seeing your posts each week!
ReplyDeleteAre those metal or? Cute!
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteReally cute!! Loved seeing the mailbox because I am going to move the one that I had out front into the back yard in an attempt to declutter the front. It was rainy and cold all last week so I did not get a chance to do anything in the yard and now I will be on a 3 day stretch at work so it will have to wait until the end of the week....
Hugs,
Debbie
Pretty, pretty...as always! Love your cute little animals! :)
