Shabby "Sheet' Umbrella

I recently bought a patio umbrella and stand at a yard sale.    I didn't really like the umbrella,  but I loved the granite base it was set in.    I already had an umbrella that I wanted to use the base for,   so I went on ahead and bought the set for $20.

H wired the standless umbrella to the porch fence until I could decide if I should get rid of it or not.   I was looking at it this morning while I was sitting on the front porch enjoying my coffee and it hit me......shabby chic that thing!

By using yard sale sheets to make my new cover,  the total project was less than $10..

I like to prop my feet up,   so the coffee table was better used as an ottoman.    I found that a queen size pillow was the exact size I needed .

I will need to attach some ties on each corner of the pillow case  to attach it to the wicker table....but that's a project for another day!

I love my new shabby "sheet" umbrella!

  4. I smiled when I read this! (GOOD MORNING,Penny!:) I saw something similar on Etsy for a MUCH higher price for sale. You wouldn't mind if the sun bleached and rotted it if it were a garage sale sheet..but for over a hundred dollars, YES! Cute as heck!! Brilliant idea!
