Weekend Treasure Hunt

I didn't go to any sales on Friday....we had something more important to do!    Our granddaughter had a  "pinning"  ceremony at the college.....a year from now she will be a RN.
Saturday we drove to Amarillo Texas (about an hour and a half away) to pick up some wood look plank tiles for a project that I can't wait to show you when it's finished.     Soooo,  it was mid afternoon before we had a chance to visit any yard sales.   Since it was late in the day,  everyone was ready to make a deal!

H saw this chandy in the driveway of a yard sale.....I told him it would be expensive and I wasn't going to get out.    I was tired and hot,  but H was determined.

Gorgeous large crystals.......

Mirrored medallion to go on the ceiling above it......

While he was looking at it.    the lady yelled over to him   "if you're interested in that......make me an offer"    He offered her $15 and she said "sold"

In the first photo,   the dishes were on the snack bar.    I couldn't seem to get a good photo,  so I moved them over to the counter by the sink.

I haven't bought any dishes in a while because I really have all I need!

These were just so pretty

I couldn't resist......

$20 for more than 20 pieces.....can't beat that!

I don't have a holder to display any spoons......a coat of white paint and this will be perfect

Dream blocks..............

Faux greenery topiary.....

I can't wait to use my new dishes in a tablescape......and where or where will a chandy this large find a place in our home?

Please visit my side bar to see "Where I Party"  and stop by and visit a few of these great blogs!

  2. It's clear that garage sales in your neck of the woods are way better than here. All I ever seem to come across are old trikes, baby toys and clothes.

  6. There is a sort of "high" after finding treasures at a yard sale, thrift store, or flea market. Often times people have to part with great things because those items just don't work for them anymore. You picked up some wonderful items. I LOVE the plates. Tablescapes are so fun to create and that set will be beautiful.

  29. I can't believe the deals you found - and cheap-o dishes at Walmart would cost more than that, much less a fancy-schmancy set like those! Thanks for joining us at #FridayFrivolity!
