Tweaking the Hallway

After living a week with the new decor in the hallway,   I felt it needed a little tweaking!

I swapped out a couple of things and brought in a few new things......

I am really pleased with the tweaks that I gave the hallway

I didn't like the plain rusty metal head and foot board,   so I swapped them out with a pretty white set that I had out in the back yard  in one of my "flower beds"

I wasn't pleased with the round brown frame at the end of the hall,  so I put it back in storage and replaced it with the ornate frame that was attached to the windows above the head board down the hall.

I wanted to show you how H attached the foot board to the wall.   He shimmed it with wood blocks to make it come away from the wall so I can hang quilts or lace on it.    I can't wait to put some Christmas stockings on it!

For now,  I have a lace bedspread hung  on the foot board.    I thought a dream catcher would be the perfect accent piece to hang over the foot board.

I hope you aren't sick of seeing my favorite heart wreath!

The deer head silhouette just wasn't working for me.....it was too flat.

Here's a close up of the dream catcher on the foot board......

The plain head board was replaced with a more ornate one....the foot board matches it.

Sometimes a little tweaking is all you need to do to make it perfect!

  2. Penny,
You know I LOVE that wreath and I would never get tired of it!! Looks great but I also liked how it looked before. I have to tell you that there was a metal bed frame and foot board similar to the one that you put back in storage next to one of the dumpsters in our development but it was raining yesterday so Joe said he would go and get it for me first thing this morning since he was off. Well, when he went to get it it was gone!! I was so mad!! Boo Hoo!!
    Hugs,

  3. What a cute idea. I wonder if I have a bed frame that could work to hold quilts. You are so clever, Penny.
