Weekend Treasure Hunt

It was a very busy week end!
I went to a couple of yard/estate sales.....did a little shopping.......went to the lake......and we are working on the hallway today in preparation for new flooring being laid tomorrow.

I went to one of the best estate sales that I've been to in a long time.     Things were pretty pricey,  but I did find a couple of goodies in my price range.

This painting was done Dec 29,  1902......$5

Mark Roberts fairies.....

Two small cross stitch pillows.............

I think they could use some trim......

Any suggestions?

On the way to the lake,   I made a stop in Lubbock Texas at At Home and visited the 75% off tables.

I picked up some floral designs,   the metal wall basket in the first photo in my post came from At Home too.

My little ceramic hen night light was $2 at a yard sale

This house and big red barn caught my eye when we were out yard sale-ing......

The red barn  had some fun metal art pieces.....

These are some of the larger metal art pieces that I have seen......

A Texas size metal gun!

If  I can get a "photo release" from the family,   I  have several photo's of them enjoying our day at the lake.   They don't like it when I put family photo's on my blog, but maybe they will make an exception!

Please visit my side bar to see "Where I Party"  and stop by and visit a few of these great blogs!

  4. Really lovely goodies! I liked all of them..A LOT! My family is the same way but not as bad as they used to be. None of my family reads my blog anyway..so..but still they complained. Especially one of my daughters... *sniff* I do it anyway, but none of her.

  5. Was inspired by your tea cup wreath. Have gathered tea cups from thrift stores and estate sales. Have a bag of lace trim from a yard sale. All the tea cups have pink roses on them. Spray painted a twig wreath pink. Want to also add pink bows. Can't wait to get started. You are such an inspiration. Wish you were closer so I could meet you and H and visit your home.

  10. Love the painting and the faux flowers are so pretty. I don't see really nice faux flowers around here much any more. The pillows are always fun and the fairies are too cute.

  14. Lots of great finds. For the needlepoint pillows I might add a pink ruffle with cream lace around the edge or maybe green. I guess it depends on where you are going to use them.
