Weekend Treasure Hunt

I am still on the hunt for ceramic Christmas houses to redo in pastel colors for Christmas.    I can't wait to show you what I plan to do with all these houses I've been buying.!

I found some really neat houses this week end.     I haven't had a chance to see if the fountain really works in this one yet,  but I am hopeful that it does.

I was able to buy 7 houses at one yard sale......

This piece was only $1 and it works!

I still have more houses to show you from the lot of 7 that I bought,  but for now I wanted to share the pretty plates I found..

You may remember that I bought several large hand painted plates last week,   and this week I found some smaller plates that will look pretty displayed with them.

I don't find square plates very often so I was glad to get this one.

I love to use this type of plates in my tablescapes.

I found an unusual cake plate .......

I'd never seen one like it and I was at the estate sale late Saturday and everything was half off....so I grabbed it up for $5

Is everyone ready for Halloween?      My house is in a state of Hallo-fall-mas.    I have all kinds of decor out....lol!

  2. I can't wait to see what you'll be doing with all the little houses. The way you Pennyfy them is so cute! How lucky finding small hand-painted plates that go perfectly with the ones you found last time. They're beautiful. Judy

  3. I have a lot of Christmas houses from when they were popular and could be bought reasonably priced at JoAnn's Fabric & Crafts. Haven't used them in quite a while other than a half dozen on top of my entertainment center all year. So anxious to re-invent them as you are. We have the same color scheme and taste so you will be my inspiration. I think they will make there way into every room in my house. Thanks so much for the idea. I have so many it will be a great winter project when the snow keeps me inside.
